Vertical Plough Print

This stationary version of a plough is a very useful tool for hobby bookbinders, schools and small printers. This tool enables you to trim a book block or to make a clean cut through a pile of paper to a maximal length of 43 cm and of 45 mm thickness. The plough is equipped with two table clamps. The handle with the HSS knife runs smoothly on ball bearings over the guide rail. The guide or clamp rail is very stable and doesn't bend. The blade is guided vertically, straight through the paper. The cut is very smooth without any cutting marks that sometimes appear with machine cutting.

The tip of the blade runs at the bottom into a plastic strip in the work table, which ensures that the blade remains sharp. When this strip becomes deeply notched, it can be removed, turned and installed again. This can be done 8 times before the strip has to be replaced. New strips are available. A graduated ruler is located in a right angle with the guide rail and acts as a stop for the paper stack. After repeated use of the plough the moon shaped cutting blade can be sharpened with the included grinding device.

The plough is made of lacquered birch plywood and ash hardwood. Dimensions: 62 x 42 cm. Weight: 5 kg.
