The Spring 2 loom is a technically innovative weaving loom featuring Louët's unique parallel contramarche system and the floating breast beam system for maintaining consistent warp tension. Thanks to these inventions, Spring and Delta stand head and shoulders over the competition.
Spring 2 has a weaving width of 90 or 110 cm and you can choose between 8 or 12 shafts with 10 or 14 treadles, respectively. The 8-shaft Spring 2 can also be expanded later to 12 shafts using the
The castle section with the shafts and lams is partially pre-assembled with a clever method to expand and fix into place. The shaft bars and lams can be adjusted to the exact height needed, which makes it easy to put some tension on the Texsolv heddles so that they do not shift or skew. Shafts always remain parallel. Slanted shaft bars is impossible, and tie-ups on the treadles is very easy with pre-cut tie-up cords.
The warp beam has a friction brake and the cloth beam has a cloth advance lever, so you can advance your warp while sitting at the loom.
The loom is made of lacquered beech wood, includes spacious shelf and a built in raddle. The loom is delivered partially assembled; all shaft and lam cords are in place and easily assembled. A stainless steel reed 40-10, 800 or 1200 Texsolv heddles (392 mm, depending on the weaving width), lease and apron bars and sixteen warp sticks are supplied.
The loom is 120 / 140 cm wide, 94 cm deep and 115 cm high. The back beam can be folded up, after which the loom is only 72 cm deep.
