David III

The David III is an 8 shaft floor loom with a sinking shed and a small footprint due to its simple compact design.  However; it surpasses many a large loom in functionality with its innovative cam design feature making holding a shed open much easier on the weaver than any other treadle jack loom. Available in 70 (27.5”), 90 (35.5”) or 110 cm (43.5”) weaving widths. The warp beam can be folded in to the castle making a folded depth of 87cm (34”).

The David was re-designed in 2021 and this version David III has a sturdier frame and beams, a standing beater and an improved brake system.

The tie up is a simple connection using pre-cut texsolv cords slipped over the lam on one side and a screw head on the other.   Using a spring and cam system, there is a large shed of over 5 cm

David is made of lacquered beech wood. It is delivered partially assembled

The loom includes a built-in raddle with raddle covers, stainless steel reed 40-10 (10 dpi), 800 Texsolv heddles (280 mm), 2 lease sticks and 2 apron sticks and 16 warp sticks
